It's not fair.
Baby bear I. recently liked to say," it's not fair." It sorts of bother Mama bear and everyone around him. Mama bear talked to him yesterday. There is nothing fair. Indeed, nothing. Mama bear tried very hard to explain to him about fairness. Hope he would have the basic understanding about appreciation and respect. No matter what position he would be, he could think about others' feelings and and how much he has been given.

Did you draw the picture?
As usual, our J. bear was the first one to get up. Mama bear heard some sounds in J. bear's room. She was up and about to go to baby bear's room and to wake him up. Mama bear grabbed her back and told her to get back to her bed. ( Mama bear need sleep too.) A few minutes later, Mama bear heard some sounds. mmm It was time for someone to get a time out. When Mama bear went to J. bear's room, Mama was stunned. J. bear was drawing. She was drawing a little person. People who knew J. all knew that she was not able to draw. Her drawing was usually a lot of scribbling. Mama bear asked J. bear who drew that picture. J. looked at Mama bear with puzzling look. "It's me, Mama!" Of course, everyone was sleeping. How silly Mama bear was! So Mama bear ran downstair to grab the camera and got some shots. Wow! It was awesome!

Honey, please close your mouth.
Still remember how hard we tried to teach J. bear to say words. This morning Mama bear took her to an appointment. On the way home, she kept on talking. Mixing with English and Chinese, she kept on telling me that she liked Knott's berry farm. She wanted to go again. She said , "Mama, look." She wanted to show me how she rode on the horse in the merry-go-round. Mama bear kept on turning her head to tell J. bear that Mama bear was driving. Finally, Mama bear had to tell her to close her mouth and not talk. It was so funny we wanted her to say the word "more." Even a simple word took J. bear months to say by herself. And now she really enjoyed talking. Her new word was "maybe." If you ask questions, and she would move her shoulders, blink her beautiful eyes, and say "maybe." Praise to the LORD to open her mouth and talk. Now, a new prayer is God could close her mouth sometime when it is needed. ^ ^

Mommy, why don't you use nail polish?
As usual, Mama bear would go to each bear's bed side and give them kisses, hugs, and prayers and some "sweet talks" every night. Big sister bear asked Mama bear. "Mommy, why don't you use nail polish?' Wow! This was the second time she asked since we came back from LA. ( When the bear family visited a friend in LA, their 6-year-old girl had nail polished. The girl offered big sister bear a bottle of nail ploish. She asked Mama bear about it. Mama bear told her that we had to talk about it.) Again, she brought up the topic. Mama bear thought it was a great moment to have a "woman to woman" conversation with big sister bear. "Well, first of all, I don't have time to do the nails. I think I rather use the money to buy some other things I really like." We started sharing when Mama bear was a child. I used a nail polish to paint a glass bottle. ( It was a fun project though.) Mama bear could feel the heart of big sister bear. She may not like the answers. However, Mama bear told her that may be some day we both could wear nail polish. "When?" asked she. "mmm, when I turn 60...." ^ ^
